she said beauty box - may

Considering I got the "your order has been dispatched" email yesterday, this arrived pretty speedy. Not that I mind, it means another blog post yay!

When you open the box, the first thing you see is two cards. One has the product information on it, and the other is a card with the Kim Kardashian fragrance advert on it, and a discount code.
This box has six products, one being a bonus item. This is my third She Said Beauty box, and I am really impressed - especially as it's £9 plus postage, instead of the usual £10 plus postage. There's always been at least two products I've been excited to try and I hope the company keep this high standard up instead of slacking off some months!
First full size item: The Vintage Cosmetic Company False Lashes in Connie, although I guess you couldn't exactly not give people full size eyelashes...
Anyway, the card says "If you're a girly girl and love all things vintage then you will love this new range of false lashes from The Vintage Cosmetics Company. With five styles to choose from, match the lashes to your personality." I received the style "Connie", and having looked at the other options on the She Said Beauty website (yes, I looked at the sneak peek before my box arrived, but that way I won't get too disappointed if my box is rubbish) I'm glad I got these ones as the others look a bit too dramatic for my taste. The lashes also come with a small tube of adhesive, which is great as mine's just dried up! Now I can apply the Eldora lashes I received in the first box, happy happy :) RRP £6.

The pink rectangular packet is actually a soap which my mum has already claimed! I don't mind, the scent isn't to my taste, it's called Pink Lotus and it's too floral for my taste and anyway I'm more of a shower gel kind of girl. The proper name of the soap is the Natio Lotus Soap Trio, of course only one was included in the box. The RRP of the trio is £8.50, which means this sample is worth approx £2.84. Quoting the card, "A charming gift set of delicately fragrant soaps featuring all-natural Indian Attar perfumes, the mind calming and mood enhancing scents used during yoga." So it's a soap that's meant to make you happier. Interesting.

The little bonus item is three skincare products from the brand Snowberry (never heard of them before) that look like sugar sachets and came presented in a cute pink bag.To be honest I think that the selection of type of item was completely random as in my bag there is an anti-ageing day cream for dry skin, an anti-ageing face serum and a night cream for more mature skin. As I'm still a teenager, and I have oily skin, I'd have loved to try some of the other products as a few of them sound really good. Oh well, there's only 3ml in each sample so it's not as if I could've properly road-tested them. This is worth approx. £10.63, and the card says "Discover truly extraordinary skin care - a rich fusion of the purest and finest active ingredients from New Zealand and the remote places of the world."
Inika Certified Vegan Lip Whip in Apricot - This is a full size, and retails for £14.30. I was incredibly disappointed when I opened my box to see that I'd been given the shade Apricot, which is a bronzed nude. I don't like nude lips. On the website, any of the other colours seem better than this one, if anyone would like to swap theirs for mine please get in touch, I haven't even unscrewed the lid! The card describes this as "INIKA Certified Vegan Lip Whips are perfect for creating luscious polished lips the natural way. Our creamy formula glides on smoothly whilst delivering a whip of essential nutrients to keep your lips soft and kissable."

The white tube is the Green People SPF 15 with tan accelerator, and since I'm allergic to high factor sun creams I shall be giving this a shot and will take this on holiday as SPF 15 isn't that high, and Green People is quite natural and hopefully this won't be full of nasty chemicals. You get 20ml, and it's worth approx. £2.60. Also, the card says "Natural and organic SPF15 cover with a carob based tan accelerator, clinically proven to speed up your tan by 25%", well if it speeds up your tan it's winner for me!

The last product is a 3ml rollerball sample of the Kim Kardashian Eau De Parfum. I must ask, how did the Kardashians get famous? I know giving out perfume samples in a beauty box is like stepping over a minefield, but as it isn't one of those stupid 1ml vials, I'll let it slide. I have no idea how to describe the scent, so I'll let the card do the talking, "A beautiful blend of feminine and sensual notes, the debut fragrance captures the many sides of Kim's personality and glamorous style." This is worth approx. £2.30.

Here's the She Said Beauty website with my referral link - https://www.shesaidbeauty.com/invite/KJXEG
And the website without any links or anything - https://www.shesaidbeauty.com/home

In total this box is worth about £38.67, and there were two full size products. That's pretty good considering that it costs £12!
I'm expecting a Latest In Beauty box in the mail soon, so be expecting a post on that!

  1. Seems like the last box was only last week. This looks great. I'm only subbed to the Amarya box now, get my first one this month. It looks quite boring compared to others but everythings organic and means I'll use it instead of lettin certain things go to waste.
