notd | mint humbug

Sadly this manicure is short lived, as I type my nails are bare on account of it chipping really badly on my other hand. I don't think it's the Revlon nail polish's fault, Revlon always makes good nail polishes, I think I applied too many coats of base coat, and that made the layers of nail polish too thick and it simply peeled off.
Anyhoo, I wanted to share the design with you because I rather like it, even though it reminds me of wallpaper.
The Revlon polish was surprisingly sheer - I think it was three or four coats. Because of this, I enlisted the help of my Ciate Super Sexy Dry and applied it inbetween each coat, and it made the nails dry in under four minutes. I'm not going to tell you how I did the stripes because it's pretty obvious, however I will give you a word of warning should you try this look and that's to space out your white lines.
There should be no more than four on each nail, otherwise it'll look crammed.
And to avoid all the nails looking exactly the same, paint the first stripe anywhere, so when you come to do the others, judge it from the distance from the stripe you just painted.
L-R Trind Natural Nail Repair, Revlon Minted, Amuse Fave Nail Art White, Ciate Super Sexy Dry, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
This reminds me of a lot of things....mint humbugs, wallpaper, curtains....Do it remind you of anything?
