my nail polish collection - greens

Mint is meant to be one of the "it" colours to be wearing this spring/summer, and this trend has made me discover how much I love mint coloured everything! I want a pair of mint jeans...Anyway wearing mint nail polish is a subtle nod to the trend without looking like a pack of Smarties - which is still a good look!
I also own a few other greens apart from mint, and I think that green nails give off a natural, earthy, bohemian vibe.

L-R OPI Stranger Tides, Revlon Minted, E.L.F Mint Cream

OPI Stranger Tides - This looks a lot darker in the swatches, it's actually a light nude with a hint of olive green in it which I adore, it also compliments a tan well. As always with OPI, application was smooth, and like most nudes will need around three coats to get full opacity.

Revlon Minted - This was quite a recent purchase because I don't like buying Revlon nail polish at the full price, £6 is a bit too much when I know I can get certain shades a lot cheaper at a pound shop or online. Well, in a discount store I spotted this for £2 - I immediately snatched it up, as the more popular Revlon shades don't tend to be on offer. Used in a NOTD here.

E.L.F Mint Cream - I find E.L.F nail polish to be pretty good, OK it chips quite quickly but for £1.50 what can you expect? The formula is a bit thick but you only need two coats to get it opaque. The colour is a bit darker than Revlon Minted.
L-R Miss Sporty 330, Rimmel Green Grass, Miss Sporty 346, China Glaze Cha Cha Cha

Miss Sporty 330 - Miss Sporty nail polishes really annoy me, on the stands in the shops there are names but there are none to be seen on the actual bottle apart from the number?! The colour is a mint, but it looks slightly metallic on the nail. I love the brushes on Miss Sporty nail polishes, they are really wide and make it easy to coat the nail.

Rimmel Green Grass - This was a gift, and it truly is a grassy green. I mainly use this when doing rainbow nails. This wears for a really long time, especially with a top coat.

Miss Sporty 346 - Compared to all the other greens this looks slightly blue in the swatch, but I can assure you it's not. In reality the colour is a darkish green that looks very similar to what it looks like in the bottle.

China Glaze Cha Cha Cha - The same as the China Glaze in the orange nail polish post, this is part of the Island Escape collection, and is an olive green but when the light hits it, it looks golden. This would look amazing on olive skin tones.

I'm doing a small giveaway once I reach 50 GFC followers, just so you know I appreciate each and every one of you lovely people that read my blog!
